What is Dry Needling?

Dry needling is a form of therapy in which thin filiform needles are inserted into myofascial trigger points (painful knots in muscles), tendons, ligaments, or near nerves in order to stimulate a healing response in painful musculoskeletal conditions.
Is a modern, science-based intervention for the treatment of pain and dysfunction in conditions such as low back, neck, headaches, knee, shoulder, foot and ankle pain.
It’s called “dry” needling because no medication or chemicals are used on the needles, therefore it is a dry needle vs. a “wet” needle with pain medication on the needle.

What Does It Do?

What Can I Expect From Dry Needling?

Dry needling is an effective, safe, natural, holistic, and cost effective way to approach pain relief. We conduct a thorough movement evaluation to discover any movement dysfunctions that may be driving the pain.

How Many Sessions Do I Need?

The amount of sessions depends on chronicity, site of pain, severity, how it occurred & more, however the vast majority of our patients experience pain relief on the first session!
We will usually meet 1-2x/wk. until maximum healing is reached.

What Can It Be Used For?

If you have tightness, pain, discomfort, or movement restrictions, dry needling will help! We specialize with neuromusculoskeletal and neuropathic (nerve type such as sciatica) type pains.
